The Associate Creative Director’s responsibilities include brand ownership, team management and the creation of strategically strong concepts and design solutions that drive business success  for our clients.

OBJECTIVES

Develop Smart Work:
  • Solid understanding of client industry, trends, standards and competitive landscapes
  • Exhibit category authority and expert knowledge of the user/ buyer experience
  • Comprehend and help inform strategic platforms
  • Awareness of latest industry innovations
  • Demonstrate expertise of retail landscape
  • Steward of client’s brands, customers and properties
  • Actively participate in concept development sessions
  • Create strategic innovative solutions to solve a client challenge.
  • Generate big ideas that motivate shoppers/consumers to buy 
  • brands across all mediums.
  • Use information and learning from every assignment to inform new thinking.
  • Demonstrate a wide range of vIsual/writing styles based on target and assignment
  • Has a passion for writing all forms of copy, concepting big ideas, doing independent research, and building a strong creative team 
Manage & Sell Work:
  • Providing constructive feedback and direction against the work
  • Build a compelling argument required for effective presentation 
  • of the assignment to the client
  • Present to mid and senior level clients
  • Maintain communication with senior creative leaders and Account partners 
  • concerning status of jobs
  • Providing constructive feedback and direction against the work
  • Produce content across mediums
  • Complete projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Manage creative process outside the agency with Photographers, Illustrators, 
  • Producers, Comp Artists, Production Artists, Computer Retouchers
  • Handles multiple deadlines simultaneously and manages time dependably for themselves as to never miss a deadline, working to also ensure their teams don’t 
  • miss a deadline
  • Manage art directors and writers
  • Manage creative process within the agency with Account Service, Video Production, Traffic, and Production
  • Put in the passion and extra hours necessary to exceed clients’ expectations
  • Help others reach their potential

  • Working with the leadership team, is a change agent within the department, providing solutions for issues that affect the team
  • Has a passion for design, concepts, and being a growing part of a strong 
    Creative team 
  • Is able to consider feedback and take direction from senior creatives

  • Comes prepared to meetings and brainstorms with ideas and/or questions
  • Willing to help with production-based and internal projects, as needed
  • Seeks to elevate creative—working through multiple ideas and to push past the obvious and develop strong creative.
  • Sets an example for the creative team — offers help to others, is organized and follows processes, provides recognition and boosts morale, leads high-visibility/point-to-programs, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • BA/BS in Graphic Design and/or graduate from art or portfolio school
  • Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator and Powerpoint
  • Portfolio of relevant work.
  • Excellent Written and oral communication skiils, organized and detail orientedWritten/oral communication skills, organization, detail oriented, able to multitask, strong interpersonal skills, strong on teamwork, highly flexible.
